Akebono Brake Corporation has released seven new ultra-premium ceramic disc brake pad part numbers within its ProACT® and EURO product lines. These additions aim to address demand for high-coverage applications from Audi, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota.

The newly introduced part numbers are as follows:

    • ProACT: ACT2413, ACT2442
    • EURO: EUR1895, EUR1953, EUR2139, EUR2206, EUR2210

    Product Development

The new pads utilize Akebono’s advanced ceramic formulations to deliver OE quality fit, performance and longevity. The pads for many applications also come with premium stainless steel hardware and electronic wear sensors.

“These new part numbers reflect our ongoing dedication to providing the most complete coverage of ultra-premium ceramic brake pads in the market,” said Kirby Pruitt, product development manager, Akebono Brake Corporation. “By continuously expanding our ProACT® and EURO® lines, we ensure that our customers—from distributors to service professionals—can rely on Akebono for the highest-quality braking solutions on the road today.”

    Market Impact

With these additional part numbers, Akebono said it is enhancing its market coverage to meet rising demand in both domestic and import sectors. The new offerings cover more than 2 million vehicles in operation (VIO) in the U.S. and Canada.
