Archer plans to connect the locations via 10 – 20 minute electric flights. The network is also planned to provide travel options between the region’s three major international airports, Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport. Further “strategic general aviation airports in the area” are also envisioned.

No mention is made of when the project is to be completed, however, several partners are already involved, including Related Ross, which will set up a vertiport within its West Palm Beach downtown development, while Hard Rock Stadium and Apogee Gold Club have committed to converting its existing helipads for eVTOL operations. The Dragon Global’s Magic City Innovation District also intends to develop a vertiport site.

“Our partnership with Archer marks a pivotal step in expanding South Florida’s regional connectivity through cutting-edge technology,” said Stephen Ross, CEO and Chairman of Related Ross and Owner of the Miami Dolphins, “We are integrating Archer’s electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft into our flagship locations across South Florida, including the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Related Ross developments in West Palm Beach, and Apogee Club in Hobe Sound. We’re excited to embrace a forward-thinking vision that transforms how people and businesses move across the region.”

Jordan Rathlev, Executive Vice President of Related Ross, added: “This innovative approach not only supports sustainable urban transportation, but also positions South Florida at the forefront of pioneering advanced mobility solutions for the future.”

For its operations, Archer plans to use its Midnight eVTOL, which seats up to four people and can carry a payload of over 1,000 pounds (453 kilograms). The Midnight is optimised for short-haul flights of up to 20 miles (32 km) with a ten-minute recharge time between flights. This is the same eVTOL that will also be used at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
