Autel has announced the MaxiHVAC AC909 HVAC diagnostic system, which the company says is coming in 2026.
According to Autel, features of the HVAC diagnostic system will include:
- Step by step guided instructions for equipment hookup and the repair workflow;
- Vehicle-specific overview of AC specifications and locations;
- A single-screen workflow that incorporates HVAC live pressures and OBD sensor values, including blend door functionality and outlet temperature readings;
- Conclusively identifies refrigerant leaks and/or excessive moisture;
- Uses nitrogen for a pressure leak test “system tightness test” and purge procedures;
- Decouples from the A/C lines while still monitoring low and high pressures;
- Variable displacement compressors test by either OBD bidirectional commands and/or physical connection to the ECV valve while comparing live low and high side pressures;
- Large sight glass allows for visual inspection for excessive UV dye, oil contaminants, component failures caused by heat, and solid particulates;
- Self-diagnostics to determine equipment efficiency, tightness and accuracy.
