Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes (BSCCB) has completed a major expansion of its production capacity at its sites in Stezzano, Italy, and Meitingen, Germany. The investment increases output by about 50%, positioning the joint venture to serve growing demand from premium and luxury automotive manufacturers that require advanced braking solutions.

Expanded Facilities in Stezzano and Meitingen

At SGL Carbon’s Meitingen site, BSCCB constructed two new production halls totaling 8,500 square meters in just 14 months. In Stezzano, the company expanded existing buildings by 4,000 square meters. Both locations now feature state-of-the-art systems designed to deliver efficient, high-performance production.

The expansion spans the full process chain—from forming and machining to assembly. This allows allowing BSCCB to streamline operations and scale output to match market needs.

    Driving Efficiency and Quality

The investment improves not only capacity, but also efficiency and process quality. BSCCB said it has further increased automation across its lines while maintaining flexibility and human expertise in manufacturing.

“With the expansion of our production capacities in Stezzano and Meitingen, we are setting a decisive course for the future,” said Florian Hofner and Nicola Frambrosi, managing directors of Brembo SGL Carbon Ceramic Brakes. “We are making our production future-proof, thereby ensuring that we can reliably meet the demands and needs of our customers. The combination of proven technology and targeted innovations strengthens our position in the international market.”

    Technology for Premium Automotive Applications

Carbon-ceramic technology remains central to BSCCB’s product lineup. The company said it manufactures advanced solutions such as Ceramic Composite Material (CCM) floating discs, Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) with ceramic-coated cores, and Dyatom, a five-layer carbon-ceramic disc designed for intense track use.

These products are distinguished by lightweight construction, superior heat resistance, long lifespan and exclusive design appeal, added BSCCB.
