    • The Ferrari Luce configurator is already up and running.
    • There are 35 body colors and two wheel designs available.
    • Options include carbon fiber accents, a debossed rear logo, and Ferrari shields on the front fenders.
    • An optional Prancing Horse can be added to the front doors.

It’s the morning after the Ferrari Luce’s reveal, and it’s safe to say everyone has an opinion about Maranello’s inaugural EV. Love it or loathe it, this looks unlike any other Prancing Horse before it, easily distancing itself even from the V12-powered Purosangue SUV. The configurator is already up and running on the company’s website, and boy, there are some wacky colors.

In typical Ferrari fashion, multiple shades of red are available, but the really interesting options are far from traditional. We’ve chosen to highlight Giallo Ambra (above) and Verde Nürburgring (below) because they make the Luce’s unconventional design pop even more. In total, there are 35 colors to choose from, split into four categories: Standard, Historical, Classic, and Special.

    Ferrari Luce Wheel Designs

Wheel choices for the Luce are limited to two diamond-cut designs, each available in two finishes. The five-spoke alloy is available in either silver or black, while the turbine-style wheel comes with gold or white accents. Ferrari adds multiple layers of customization, allowing buyers to opt for titanium bolts and choose from three center caps: carbon, black, or yellow. Additionally, there are eight brake caliper colors to pick from.

The Luce starts at €550,000, but you can easily drive up the price with carbon-fiber details for the wheel arches, side skirts, glossy roof, rear diffuser, and the roof section behind the glass panel. Just so everyone knows it’s a Ferrari, the striking EV can be ordered with a silver Prancing Horse on the front doors and a Scuderia Ferrari shield adorning the front fenders. At the back, debossed Ferrari lettering is also available.

Of course, this is just the beginning. Expect even greater customization options to arrive later in the model’s life cycle. Knowing Ferrari’s modus operandi, the Tailor Made program will likely bring special editions and true one-offs for those who want something even more exclusive than what’s currently available in the regular configurator.

Motor1’s Take: Whether it’s red, green, or any other color, the Luce is bound to spark controversy. We can confidently say the design is not what anyone expected, and it’s not just the body. From the turbine-style wheels with flat discs to the windshield wipers resting vertically, Ferrari’s first EV is chock-full of surprising details. It also has the largest staggered wheel setup of any production Ferrari, combining 23-inch front and 24-inch rear alloys.

There’s certainly a lot to take in, and we haven’t even mentioned the interior. Judging by what the Internet is saying, the Luce’s cabin has received a far warmer reception. The exterior certainly won’t suit everyone, but there’s plenty to like inside.

Not that any of this really matters given the predictably exorbitant price tag, making it unobtanium for 99 percent of the world’s population.

    We want your opinion!
