Henkel announced the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Brandon, South Dakota. The expansion cost approximately $30 million and gained support from the South Dakota government and economic development organizations. The facility grew from 35,000 to 70,000 square feet. It now serves as Henkel’s North American hub for thermal management and adhesive solutions.

Sustainable Manufacturing
Henkel’s Brandon site is the first in its North American Adhesive Technologies division to achieve LEED certification. The project aims for LEED Silver status and highlights Henkel’s focus on sustainable growth.
Enhanced Production Capabilities
The expansion includes new mixers for producing thermal management and adhesive solutions. These mixers are essential for automotive batteries and electronic components. The facility now has increased capacity to support the growing EV and electronics market in North America, the company said.

Commitment to Employees and Technology
The Brandon facility employs over 100 people and commits to digitizing operations for efficiency and sustainability. The team introduced paperless workflows and automated controls. Henkel announced its Brandon investment in October 2021 and began construction in September 2022.
