Hunter Engineering is launching the HawkEye Elite Xpandable configuration, an alignment and ADAS system. According to Hunter, the “Xpandable” name comes because it is expandable to Hunter’s Ultimate ADAS for laser-guided static calibrations.
Hunter manufactures the HawkEye Elite X alignment and ADAS system in the U.S. It includes Quick Grip adapters, WinAlign software and a robust specs database. Also standard are the ADASLink scan tool, aligner remote viewer and control capabilities. These tools support dynamic calibrations, pre- and post-scans, and steering system resets.
Built-In ADASLink Scan Tool
Shops can use the included ADASLink scan tool immediately. It enables dynamic resets, diagnoses trouble codes and supports special tests. The tool also allows pairing and coding of new parts, the company noted.
Shops can later upgrade to Hunter’s Ultimate ADAS static calibration system.
“HawkEye Elite X provides a scalable foundation for a profitable alignment business that includes steering system resets and dynamic calibrations today, with the option to expand into a profitable static ADAS calibrations business in the future,” said Alan Hagerty, Hunter alignment product manager.
