The Pyeongtaek facility showcases Kia’s complete PBV lineup and offers test drives, AR simulations and facility tours

Kia has opened its first platform beyond vehicle (PBV) experience centre in Pyeongtaek, Korea, as a dedicated hub where business customers and the public can explore the automaker’s complete PBV lineup organised by purpose, trim and colour options. The facility, which launched in November 2025, follows the completion of Kia’s specialised Hwaseong EVO Plant East production facility and the PV5 model’s recognition as the 2026 International Van of the Year.

The centre showcases PBV models and offers experiences including test drives with model-specific courses, augmented reality (AR) simulations and guided tours of the nearby Hwaseong EVO Plant and Namyang research and development centre. Visitors can also explore customisation options through a dedicated zone featuring PV5 accessories and Kia Shop items.

In November, Kia hosted 120 bodybuilders from Korea, Europe, Japan, Africa, the Middle East and Canada at the centre for the 2025 Global PBV Conversion Partners Day. The event demonstrated the facility’s role as a business platform for co-designing conversion solutions with partners and fostering collaboration on commercial vehicle development.

Kia plans to expand the facility to include PV5 derivative models launching in 2026. In a statement, Sangdae Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of PBV Business Division at Kia, said: “As a venue where the full PBV lineup can be experienced in one place, the new PBV Experience Center offers customers an engaging and immersive experience.”
