Nokian Tyres has received the Agritechnica Innovation Award presented by the German Agricultural Society (DLG). Nokian Tyres’ next-generation smart tire technology, Intuitu 2.0 Smart Pressure Assistant, won the Silver Medal distinction.
Developed for Nokian Tyres Soil King VF tractor tires, Intuitu 2.0 introduces advanced load-sensing capability, Nokian said. The system uses tire sensors to determine axle load during driving and then recommends the correct tire pressure for both road travel and field work.

Nokian Tyres first launched Intuitu smart tire technology in 2020 with a mobile application. Since then, the company has further developed the digital tire solution to meet everyday farming challenges, it said. With the launch of Intuitu 2.0 in October, farmers will gain a tool to improve efficiency in farm work. The company will also present the technology during the Agritechnica fair in November.

An independent jury of experts chooses the winners of the Agritechnica Innovation Award. The honor is one of the most respected in the agricultural machinery industry. It highlights technologies that advance farming practices, improve efficiency, and promote sustainability.
This year, the jury reviewed 251 entries from innovators across the sector. The jury awarded two Gold Medals and 22 Silver Medals. A Silver Medal recognizes innovations that significantly improve existing products or processes, provide practical relevance, enhance reliability and efficiency, and deliver positive environmental impact.
Agritechnica 2025 will be held in Hanover from Nov. 9-15. Nokian Tyres said it will showcase Intuitu 2.0 as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable farming solutions.
