Toronto, Ontario — AutoCanada Inc. has announced the acquisition of Doug’s Place Strathcona, a single-shop collision and refinish facility located in Edmonton.

The purchase expands AutoCanada’s collision repair presence in the region, increasing capacity and strengthening partnerships with OEMs and insurers. With four AutoCanada dealerships nearby, the company says the addition positions it to capture more repair volume and enhance service coverage across the Edmonton area.

The newly acquired facility holds certifications from a range of OEMs, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Nissan GTR, Tesla, Volkswagen, Volvo, Lexus and Genesis. It also participates in Direct Repair Programs with Intact, TD and AMA.

Following the acquisition, the shop will be rebranded as ACX Doug’s Place.

AutoCanada, a multi-location dealership group based in Edmonton, operates 64 franchised dealerships representing 23 automotive brands across eight provinces. The company also runs 15 stand-alone collision centres in Canada within its total network of 31 collision facilities. In 2024, AutoCanada’s Canadian dealerships sold about 85,000 new and used vehicles.

In the United States, AutoCanada operates under the Leader Automotive Group banner, managing 13 franchised dealerships representing nine brands in Illinois.
