Subaru debuts the all-electric 2027 Getaway, expanding its EV lineup with a three-row SUV designed for range, capability, and everyday versatility.

Subaru of America unveiled the all-electric 2027 Subaru Getaway at the 2026 New York International Auto Show. The SUV is the fourth electric vehicle in Subaru’s lineup and will be available in late 2026.

The three-row SUV offers seating for up to seven, standard all-wheel drive, and a dual-motor powertrain producing 420 horsepower.

    Powertrain, Range, and Capability

The 2027 Getaway is equipped with front and rear electric motors delivering 420 horsepower, with a 0-60 mph time of less than 5 seconds.

A 95.8-kWh lithium-ion battery provides an estimated range of more than 300 miles. The vehicle features a standard NACS charging port, supporting access to more than 25,000 public fast chargers in North America. DC fast charging up to 150 kW enables a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes. A battery preconditioning system supports charging performance in cold conditions.

    A standard-range model with a 77.0-kWh battery will be available in 2027.

    The Getaway includes:

    • Standard all-wheel drive
    • 8.3 inches of ground clearance
    • X-Mode dual-mode system (Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud)
    • Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control
    • Towing capacity up to 3,500 pounds

    Interior and Cargo

The Getaway offers seating for up to seven with a second-row bench, or six with available captain’s chairs. One-touch second-row folding seats and a power-folding third row provide flexible cargo configurations.

    Cargo capacity:

    • 45.6 cubic feet with third row folded
    • 15.9 cubic feet with third row in use

    Interior features include:

    • Three-zone climate control with third-row vents
    • USB-C ports in every row
    • Cupholders for all seating positions
    • Available panoramic moonroof
    • Ambient interior lighting

    Design and Technology

The Getaway features Subaru’s updated EV design, including a front lighting signature with an illuminated logo and dynamic daytime running lights. Standard 19- and 20-inch wheels and roof rails are available depending on trim.

The interior includes a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with available wireless smartphone charging.

    Driver-assistance features include:

    • Pre-Collision Braking
    • Blind Spot Monitoring
    • Lane Departure Alert
    • Adaptive Cruise Control
    • Emergency Stop Assist
    • Traffic Jam Assist

Additional features on select trims include Front Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Park Assist, and a digital rearview mirror.

Pricing and additional specifications will be released closer to launch.
