The Jeep brand introduced the 2026 Jeep Recon, an all-electric SUV designed for on- and off-road use. The model includes standard all-electric four-wheel drive and a Selec-Terrain system with multiple drive modes. Jeep says the Recon produces 650 horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. of torque, with a 0-60 mph time as quick as 3.6 seconds and an estimated range of up to 250 miles, depending on trim.
“The Recon is an all-electric SUV that stays focused on capability,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of the Jeep brand. “It’s trail-rated and designed to deliver the performance Jeep customers expect.”
The 2026 Jeep Recon will have a starting MSRP of $65,000, excluding a $1,995 destination charge. Production is expected to begin early next year at the Toluca Assembly Plant, with launches planned for the U.S. and Canada, followed by other markets.

Jeep says the Recon is engineered for a range of terrain, from urban driving to off-road use.
The propulsion system uses front and rear Stellantis-designed electric drive modules (EDMs), each rated at 250 kilowatts, to deliver standard electric 4×4 propulsion. Each EDM integrates an electric motor, gearing, and power electronics into a single unit.
The system is rated at 620 lb.-ft. of torque, which Jeep says is available almost immediately. Jeep engineers calibrated throttle response for more controlled torque delivery during off-road driving.
On the Moab trim, the rear EDM uses a 15:1 final drive ratio for additional torque multiplication. Off-road capability is also supported by an electronic locking rear differential.
The front EDM uses an 11:1 final drive ratio and an open differential. The front axle includes automatic disconnects at each wheel end to help improve efficiency and range during typical on-road driving conditions when rear-drive operation is more efficient.
The automaker says the Recon includes large-diameter half shafts and constant velocity joints to support torque delivery at the wheels. The 100-kilowatt-hour, 400-volt battery pack is protected with steel underbody shields.
Suspension includes a short-long arm front setup and an integral-link rear design. With standard 33-inch tires on the Moab trim, Jeep lists 9.1 inches of ground clearance, along with a 33.8-degree approach angle, 33.1-degree departure angle, and 23.3-degree breakover angle.
The Selec-Terrain traction management system adds a Rock mode for the Moab trim, joining Auto, Sport, Snow, and Sand. Rock mode adjusts throttle response to support low-speed driving over uneven terrain and includes a hill-hold feature. The Recon also includes low-speed Selec-Speed Control for managing inclines and declines.
Exterior Design: Purposeful, Iconic and Built for Adventure
Jeep says the Recon exterior includes expansive glass for visibility and a front end with illuminated seven-slot grille rings, U-shaped daytime running lights, and standard LED lighting.
For open-air driving, the Recon includes a standard dual-pane sunroof or an available Sky One-Touch powertop. Jeep says the Recon is designed with removable doors, rear quarter glass, and swing gate glass, without tools.
Exterior details include gloss black accents on the grille, pillars, and window trim, plus an available gloss black roof. At the rear, Wrangler-inspired LED taillamps and a swing gate support a full-size, rear-mounted spare tire.
According to Jeep, the Moab trim, which will be the first to launch, adds gloss black fascias and wheel flares, available side rock rails, and unique badging with topographical etching and an anti-glare hood graphic.
The Recon will be offered with a rotating palette of exterior colors, including special-edition options, according to Jeep.

Interior Design: Rugged Utility Meets Refined Innovation
The Recon cabin is designed with durable materials, configurable storage, and technology features aimed at outdoor use, according to Jeep.
The interior uses a horizontal instrument panel layout with a passenger-side grab handle. Jeep also notes a modular accessory rail across the instrument panel for mounting items such as cameras or navigation devices, along with scuff-resistant textured surfaces.
Storage includes a two-tier pass-through center console with an available wireless charger on the upper level, plus a cord pass-through to a lower compartment intended for larger items. Jeep says modular door panels include removable elastic straps and interchangeable cargo solutions.
Jeep lists 65.9 cu. ft. of rear cargo space with the second row folded and a 3.0 cu. ft. front trunk sized for a carry-on suitcase.
For the Moab trim, Jeep says a Joshua Tree tan interior will be offered. The interior also incorporates recycled content in select areas, according to Jeep, and uses Capri, a non-leather synthetic material on surfaces including the seats, console, doors, and instrument panel. Jeep says the headliner and carpets include recycled content, and all-weather mats are provided for the front, second row, and cargo area.
The Recon comes standard with an Alpine audio system. Jeep says speakers have been repositioned under the seats to maintain sound quality when the doors are removed.
Technology & Connectivity: Smarter Systems for a More Immersive Drive
Jeep says the Recon includes more than 26 inches of combined screen space, including a standard 12.3-inch driver display and a 14.5-inch horizontal center touchscreen.
The cabin includes integrated digital HVAC controls, along with physical volume and tuning knobs.
The system runs on Uconnect 5. Jeep says the interface is designed with larger digital buttons and display layouts intended to improve readability for maps and camera views.
Also highlighted is the Trails Offroad app with trail guides for the U.S. and Canada, including pitch and roll mapping. The system includes BEV-focused pages for state-of-charge information and Dynamic Range Mapping powered by TomTom for trip and charging planning.
Additional features include Amazon Alexa functionality and an updated Jeep mobile app with maintenance scheduling, roadside assistance, accident support, and safety and recall notifications.

Charging Access and Infrastructure Updates
Starting in early 2026, Stellantis plans to adopt the North American Charging System (NACS) for select battery-electric vehicles, enabling compatible models to use Tesla Supercharger locations. Access is expected to begin with existing BEVs such as the Jeep Wagoneer S and Dodge Charger Daytona, followed by the 2026 Jeep Recon; details on charging access and adapters will be announced later.
