Toyo Tire announced plans to establish a new Serbia R&D laboratory building at its factory in Indjija, Serbia. Scheduled to begin operations in January 2027, the facility will serve as the company’s primary European research and development hub.
Toyo Tire said its existing European R&D center in Germany will close by the end of 2026, with operations transitioning to Serbia. The company said it expects the move to strengthen collaboration among its global R&D functions in Japan, the U.S. and Europe.
