Valeo is working to mitigate potential impact to its clients’ business as the Nexperia dispute wages on. By Stewart Burnett
Valeo has identified and validated substitute semiconductors for over 95% of the components it previously sourced from Nexperia, offering some relief to several automakers bracing for potential production shutdowns. Chief Financial Officer Édouard de Pirey disclosed the progress during the supplier’s 23 October earnings call, noting that it continues receiving deliveries from the embattled Dutch chipmaker while locking in backup arrangements.
