Cupra tests camouflaged Raval based on Volkswagen MEB+ platform as first model in Electric Urban Car family for Brand Group Core
Cupra has conducted pre-series test drives of its upcoming electric compact urban car, the Cupra Raval, ahead of its 2026 launch. The camouflaged vehicle demonstrated sporty handling and performance characteristics during road testing, providing a preview of the brand’s next electric model.
The Cupra Raval is based on Volkswagen’s MEB+ platform with front-wheel drive configuration, measuring four metres in length. The compact design incorporates road handling capabilities, interior space and boot capacity engineered for both urban driving and longer journeys.
The model will make its world premiere and market launch in 2026 as the first vehicle in the Electric Urban Car family, comprising four cars from Volkswagen Group’s Brand Group Core. Production of the Cupra Raval will commence in the coming months at Martorell, followed by the Volkswagen ID.Polo at the same facility.
