    • Hyundai has announced a new line of N Performance Parts.
    • First up, Hyundai has upgraded pieces for Elantra N and Ioniq 5 N owners.
    • The automaker says more parts are on the way, as well.

Hyundai appears quite eager for the N brand to truly stand for performance in the eyes of motoring enthusiasts. The N team continues to win at various levels of motorsport, the automaker is offering a smattering of N-trim models, and now there’s a fresh batch of performance parts on the way.

Owners of the Ioniq 5 N and Elantra N can head to select US dealers to get their hands on the upgraded bits. Most of it is all about “Show,” but a few things actually help a little on the “Go” side of things.

The list includes fairly mild items like floor mats, wheel nuts, and decals. The better stuff, however, includes stuff like an Alcantara-covered steering wheel for both models. Owners of the Elantra N can also snag a carbon-fiber rear wing, carbon-fiber side mirrors, and a set of 19-inch forged alloy wheels.

Hyundai says it will continue adding items to the list throughout the year and beyond. “Hyundai’s new N Performance Parts are specifically engineered to meet the discerning demands of our Hyundai N Nthusiasts,” said Joon Park, Vice President of N Management Group, Hyundai Motor Company. He added:

“These rigorously engineered N Performance Parts deliver high performance and motorsports-inspired designs for N owners who crave more performance and a higher degree of design personalization. The N Performance Parts line will continue to expand and evolve with the ever-changing needs and desires of our N customers well into the future of our growing brand.”

Interested owners can order the parts through select US dealers. It would be great to see the automaker adopt the same model as it has in South Korea. There, owners can head to N Performance Garages to buy the parts and then install them themselves.

Motor1’s Take: Hyundai’s full-fledged N-branded models are a joy to drive, both electric and gas-powered. Providing owners with a way to upgrade their vehicles is the right way to foster greater passion for the N brand as a whole.
