The Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA) announced it will be holding its annual golf fundraiser on Thursday, Sept. 11 at Oak Creek Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, Md.
This year, WMABA will have special recognition for first responders and military personnel, so WMABA would like to encourage each group to include first responders on their teams (EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, police officers, military personnel, etc.), in memory of the 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, eight paramedics and 55 military personnel who tragically lost their lives on 9/11. Proceeds of the golf outing will also go to related charitable organizations.
WMABA has a coupon code for those teams who are including a player who is a first responder or has served in the military: 1STRESPONDER.
The event will start out early with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and wrap up with a BBQ lunch and scoring/winner announcements.
You can register for a team, hole/team sponsor combo and more. To register for the WMABA golf fundraiser, click here.
